Accommodation and services

Are meals included in the rates?

Yes, all meals are included in the room rates. We offer full board: breakfast, lunch, and dinner with coffee served in rooms in between the meals.

What type of rooms do you offer?

We provide three private luxury tented rooms and in our guest house there are two queen-bed rooms and one twin room.

What time can I check in?

You can check-in between 11.00 am – 4.00 pm. Beyond those times we take it as a special request.

Do you provide baby cots?

Unfortunately we don’t provide cots for them.

Do you offer room service?

We offer service of food in the room on request.

Reservations

How can I book your accommodation?

Simply contact us on WhatsApp, phone or email with your travel details. If we have availability for the requested period we will send you a proposal. If you then wish to confirm, a deposit is required of 30% of the booking fee.

What is your cancellation policy?

Kindly check our terms and conditions for the details.

Do you allow pets?

Unfortunately we don’t allow pets at Oreteti Mara Lodge.

Yes, we provide airport transfer services from Kitchwa Tembo at an additional charge.

Modification and special request

I have dietary needs can you note that for breakfast?

We do note our clients with dietary needs in all our meal plans. Kindly let us know at the time of booking.

Can you add an extra bed or baby cot to the room?

We can provide one extra bed in the tented rooms only. We have no baby cots for infants.

Yes, we do accept credit cards.

Location and access

What is the distance from Nairobi to your lodge?

Oreteti Mara Lodge is 268 kilometers or 166 miles from Nairobi, approximately a 5-6 hour drive.

How long does it take from your lodge to the park?

The ride to and from Oloololo Gate of the Maasai Mara is 30-40 minutes.

Can we fly to Maasai Mara?

Yes, AirKenya and Safarilink Aviation operate daily scheduled flights covering the journey in roughly 45 to 60 minutes. We can arrange a pickup for you from the Kitchwa Tembo airstrip.

How far is Isibania border post at the Tanzania border?

We are approximately 1:30 hrs hours’ drive from the border with Tanzania (Isibania border post) along the C13.
