Re-awaken Your Soul
Dive deep into the Secrets of the Maasai and have lunch “on the top of the world”

Full day excursion. We’ll give you an early morning wake up call, because at 5.30 am, you will join “The Traditional Early Morning Blessings” in front of the Holy Oreteti Tree at the school compound.
You will experience how “energy” was given to your group of family, friends, tourists. Followed by a nice cup of herbal tea of indigenous leaves, during the “after talk”.
After breakfast, you will hear more Inner Wisdom Lessons from our cultural teacher within “The Circle of Stories”. We dive into history, we learn how real wise spiritual leadership was chosen, what is the power of an Oloiboni and his magic chair “Olorika” through which his ancestors “speak”. And of course, you learn the deeper meaning of getting a name. What does your name really mean in terms of energy?
And of course, you will get your own Maasai Name here! The greetings of respect for the Maasai is also incorporated. Discover how you know the boundaries of ages, and how was Maasai Society in balance. What can we foreign tourists learn from this inner wisdom?
Then we board the school van and after a 45-minute drive, we arrive “at the top of the world”.
At Mama Wilson Place, at the top of the Oloololo Escarpment, you will experience spectacular views of the Maasai Mara reserve, the Mara River and de riverine forest. The escarpment rises to 500 metres above the plains. On a clear day you catch the most spectacular views as far as the eye can see.
Here the culinary arts students serve you a spectacular picnic. It will probably be The Best Restaurant with a view, you will ever see in your life.
It’s the natural restaurant of Oreteti Mara Lodge.
On our way back to the school lodge, we will pass by a very special shop: “Dream House” of The Oloserian Group. This group of 24 woman try to create their own income by making the most beautiful souvenir gift for you! The price is not fixed, so you can practice your bargaining skills. The women will love it as it shows respect for their culture.
Some of them are widows, and this shop is their only source of income. Our Oreteti Mara Lodge guests are their only customers, so again; doing well by doing good.
On top of this great cultural day, you will get the best nutrition by harvesting the traditional beehives. This is like no honey you have ever tasted. Maasai only need to take a little honey each day, and they are totally filled up with energy. It’s because the forest provides the best pure ingredients.
